Dadri, June 25, 2024 –  the SNU Community Connect team under the ambit of Shiv Nadar University announced the launch of the “Arogya Dadri” program in Dadri. This innovative initiative, in collaboration IPE Global CKD, aims to enhance community-based care for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and maternal and child health across 4 Health and Wellness Centres and 16 villages of the block.The event was inaugurated at Panchayat Bhawan, Kot Village, Dadri, by Robin Sarkar (Director – SNU Community Connect), Prasenjit Sengupta (Program Lead – SNU Community Connect), Fanish Kumar (BDO – Dadri), and Namita Wadhwa (Vice President – IPE Global CKD). Other notable attendees included members of the Dadri Development Program team, IPE Global CKD team members, and frontline workers such as ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, Lady Supervisors, and Community Health Officers. This marks a significant milestone in the joint efforts to improve health outcomes in the region. Robin Sarkar spoke about the DDP’s longstanding commitment to work in solidarity with the community. He said, “The SNU Community Connect program is working in the field of Education, HealthCare, Skill Development, Nature Conservation and Safety and Security verticals in Dadri. The program is a multi-crore scale intervention for the benefit of the people of Dadri. We are working the close communication with the government authorities”. Ms Namita Wadhwa spoke and stressed on the power of awareness as a preventative health-seeking behaviour. Mr Fanish Kumar, BDO, lauded the efforts made by the SNF in the region and shared his wishes for a successful venture that could be scaled up across the Dadri Block. He also mentioned that “precaution is better than cure” and programs like “Arogya Dadri” will take the community more towards taking health precautions.

3. Improved Service Delivery by Front Line Workers

The launch of ‘Arogya Dadri’ marks another significant step in SNU Community Connect’s ongoing efforts to create a healthier community in Dadri. With the support of IPE Global CKD and the dedicated efforts of all participants, this project is dedicated to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the Dadri community.
