Preparations For UPITS 2024 Gains Momentum
Greater Noida, 10th May 2024: The State of Uttar Pradesh is the most populous state making it the largest consumer market in India. The State contributes more than 8% to India’s GDP and ranks 2nd in the ease of doing business. With policies fostering goal of inclusive, sustainable and balance development, the state is aiming to achieve 1 trillion in next five years.
Last year the Government of Uttar Pradesh together with the India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML), Greater Noida has taken an initiative to organise 1st Edition of “UP International Trade Show (UPITS)”. The 2nd edition of the show is scheduled to be held from 25th – 29th September, 2024 at India Expo Centre and Mart. UPITS is a significant event that aims to bring together industry leaders, businesses, and professionals from various sectors on a global platform. With a diverse range of industries expected to be represented, including manufacturing, technology, agriculture, textiles, healthcare, tourism, and more. The UPITS provides a B2B and B2C platform for companies to showcasing their products and services, network with potential partners and explore business opportunities in the region.
In order to have even bigger and better 2nd edition of UPITS’24, Principal Secretary, Departments of Sports, Youth Affairs, MSME, Khadi & Village Industries, Handloom & Textile in Government. of Uttar Pradesh visited India Expo Centre & Mart to review the preparation and the action plan for next edition. The review meeting was attended by Mr. Manish Kumar Verma, DM, Gautam Budh Nagar; Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, India Expo Centre & Mart; Mr. Sudeep Sarcar, CEO, India Expo Centre & Mart and other officials from India Expo Centre & Mart.
Shri Alok Kumar during the review meeting stated that Uttar Pradesh is known less than a size of many small countries hence it is important that its potential as an economic powerhouse is projected on a global platform through UPITS. It is an excellent opportunity for the participants to showcase Uttar Pradesh as an international sourcing hub. Moreover, we must establish it as a must-attend event for buyers. He also discussed many innovative ideas to expand the show such as inviting a partner states. He further emphasised on promotion of product ODOP, GI tag, and other schemes. Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, India Expo Centre & Mart shared the ongoing preparations for the forthcoming show and assured that all suggestions will be worked upon to make UPITS a grand success and to have an everlasting impact on the audience and establish it as an indigenous sourcing fair of international standard. Dr. Kumar further informed that the third-party will be involved to analyse the data and findings from the fair. The actual business generated will enhance the credibility of the event which will help define future strategies. Adding further, he said UPITS would feature a variety of business sectors, including MSME, Tourism and Hospitality, Health, Textiles, Agro and Food Processing, Start-Ups, GI tags from Uttar Pradesh, Toy Associations and Craft Clusters of Uttar Pradesh, Handloom and Textiles, Micro and Small Enterprise Cluster Development, ODOP, and many others. Shri Manish Kumar Verma, DM, Gautam Budh Nagar proposed an extensive promotional campaign for UPITS, aiming to surpass the attendance and success of previous edition. Adding further, he said, “We are also planning to extend our promotional efforts to the Delhi region to attract a broader audience”. Mr. Sudeep Sarcar, CEO, India Expo Centre & Mart informed that UPITS 2024 will be aggressively promoted. The promotional activities such as roadshows, strategic meetings, maximizing outreach and engagement through various mediums ensuring key demographics across regions are informed and enthused about the upcoming trade show. The planned roadshows will serve as critical platforms for direct interaction with potential exhibitors and attendees, highlighting the unique opportunities that UPITS offers. This concerted effort underscores the commitment of the Uttar Pradesh government and its partners to making UPITS 2024 a resounding success. UPITS 2024 is poised to be a landmark event, showcasing Uttar Pradesh not just as a cultural and economic powerhouse, but as a vibrant, must-attend destination for the global trading community. India Expo Centre & Mart is amongst the top 4 India’s largest integrated exhibitions and conventions venue in Greater Noida, spread across 58 acres of land, with a build-up complex of 2,34,453.29square meters area, offering a combination of trade mart with exhibition and convention facilities. The company has approximately 15 years of operating experience in the management and organization of exhibitions and trade fairs.
