3 days AICTE Sponsored E-Conference on Antibiotic Resistance concluded

AICTE Sponsored E-Conference on “Antibiotic Resistance: Causes & Future Challenges in Digital India” was concluded today after 3 days of rich deliberations on various issues which included discussions of possible ways to control drug resistance by various speakers from industries, hospitals and academia.

In the valedictory session, Mr. Raman Batra, Executive Vice Precedent, NIET congratulated all the delegates for attending such  important conference and expressed that participants of the conference will spread the awareness about antiboitic resistance in the society. Dr. Praveen Soneja , Director General NIET also addressed the gatherings. Dr. Rupa Mazumder, Dean, Pharmacy Institute summarized the proceedings of the conference to all the delegates. Dr. V. Kalaiselvan, Principal Scientific Officer at IPC, Ghaziabad informed about new drug development program around the world and recently launched drugs to fight microbial resistance tuberculosis. Dr. S. Z. A. Hussain, Global Safety Officer at Reckitt Benckiser, Gurugram cautioned about the severity of the microbial resistance tuberculosis along with various factors with available data in different part of the world to all online present delegates. He also informed about various possible strategies to fight against antibiotic resistance in microbes. In the keynote address at the valedictory session, Dr. R. K. Khar, Ex-Dean, Jamia Hamdard and Director, B. S. Anagpuria Institute of Pharmacy explained about various novel delivery systems for overcoming drug resistance. The conference was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Avijit Mazumder (Director, NIET Pharmacy Institute).
